MindWorks Marketing client (along with our grid girl) and internationally renowned motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki GB sponsored the 2017 Grand Prix motorcycle series, the MotoGP on BTSport for the second year running.
As part of the sponsorship, Suzuki commissioned MindWorks to create ad break bumpers to appear throughout the MotoGP race coverage on BTSport. These ads were created in three different lengths (5 seconds, 10 seconds and 15 seconds) and were shown over 4000 times in the first year alone.
In 2016, the production was co-ordinated by BTSport, however for 2017 MindWorks took the production reins from BTSport and were responsible for every aspect of the project, from developing new stories, creative concepts, story boarding and location scouting, right through to model sourcing, filming and post production.
All seven stories followed Suzuki’s insightful ‘We get it’ strategic framework which was devised and introduced by MindWorks in 2015.
“At the centre of each advert was a great product and a powerful idea: Suzuki riders see life differently. When others see rain and an umbrella, Suzuki riders see grid girls and sunshine. When others see traffic lights, Suzuki riders see the start of a new adventure,” said John Reynolds – Creative Director, MindWorks.
Team Suzuki MotoGP finished the 2017 series in 6th position, so they had some great coverage not just on the race track, but during the ad breaks too! We would like to congratulate our client for another successful year of sponsorship and long may it continue.
