British Supersport Championship contender Andy Reid returns to Oulton Park this weekend for round nine of the series. The Northern Irish rider will be hoping that the Cheshire venue brings him the sort of good fortune that rewarded him with a debut win in the class last season.
The Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki rider will be looking to put Cadwell Park’s no-scoring weekend behind him and make inroads on the men in front of him in the championship standings. In turn, he will also be looking to add to his four wins this campaign, with top spot in the championship remaining his only goal.
Currently holding third place in the British Supersport Championship, with four rounds and eight races remaining, Reid said: “I’m really looking forward to Oulton and I’m confident we can do a good job. The aim is to get as many points in the bag as possible and close the gap at the top of the championship. That will be made easier if it’s dry and with a few updates to try on my Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki, I can’t wait to get the ball rolling. We had a tough weekend last time out so we need to get back to the sharp end at Oulton and score heavily.”
